Our BLOOMtique Christmas Gift Guide for 2020

I never wanted to start an online shop.

When I started BLOOM back in 2013 I just wanted to keep doing what I was doing on tour in the mainland which was lead worship and encourage girls to do the same. So when I started BLOOM on a whim with $0 dollars and some airline miles I had no idea what it would turn into or how it would affect me and force me to grow in ways I never imagined.

8 years later and we've seen over 10,000 girls come through our annual event which is incredible. We've hosted our event in churches, the Blaisdell Arena, the Concert Hall, and this past year, virtually! It's literally been a CRASH COURSE in learning how to run a business when really all I had wanted to do was ministry. I don't regret a single lesson, hardship, win, and loss because each "growing phase" has pushed me to lean on Jesus like never before.

I started the "official" online shop this past year when we knew we'd have to go virtual. The "BLOOMtique" has always been a huge factor in helping us to continue to put BLOOM on because financially things are just expensive to do in Hawai'i! I personally fulfill every order at the moment and thankfully I had interns for a season to help with the set up and packing but right now it's just me and I'm still a volunteer as we need every dollar to go back into the "small business."

So today as we celebrate #SmallBusinessSaturday aka #ShopSmall - I celebrate what GOD has done with BLOOM and even though it wasn't in my plan - this little shop has helped to keep the vision and mission alive to keep doing the ministry I always dreamed of doing here in Hawai'i.

Either way, 2020 has been crazy but I've seen the Lord do things that my heart wasn't ready for until this year. So for that - I am grateful. I'm grateful for the unexpected twists and turns that have turned my eyes to Jesus like never before and have allowed me to try new things!
